Her voice doesn't even sound the same. There is a stranger where Mikan's lover should be. She is wearing her face; but she is doing it wrong. She is saying her name; but she is saying it wrong. She is looking at her with pleading eyes; but she is looking wrong.

Mikan's hands were cold. A nurse's hand. Junko Enoshima leaned into them from where they laid across her forehead with a groan, seeking out the relief of heat from her fever addled mind, her skin flushed and uncomfortably warm, even as she shivered. Mikan tutted at whatever temperature she felt there, frowning and pulling away; Junko whined at the loss, and Mikan shushed her gently.
“It's okay, Junkie-bear, your Mikan is still here.” She assured, flicking her bangs back before leaving entirely—a part of Junko wanted to grab her hands and pull them back to her forehead, but she felt too weak to even do that. “I'm not leaving, love. Not for anything.”

“That’s up to you,” she assured. “I don’t think Koizumi or Mioda meant to hurt you, at least. If it matters to you, I think they care for you.”
“Do they?” she wonders with a wavering voice. “Or does Ibuki only like my body, does Mahiru only like my pitiful?”
Junko twitched. “I don’t know,” she answers, “And neither do you. You have to talk to them to get those answers.”
Mikan bit at her nail bed, until she could taste blood. Gently, Junko extracted her hand from her mouth. “None of that, Mikan.” she denied. “I’ll be with you the whole time. You won’t have to do it alone.”
