Summary
Yoongi and Namjoon were inseparable as members of the same hip hop group. They were respected producers, friends and comrades. But over time, Yoongi lost his love not for the music, but for the fame that went with it. He left to become a mental health professional. And due to the changes in their priorities, despite best intentions on both of their parts Yoongi and Namjoon drift apart. Their worlds barely cross over, in the last couple of years it has just been a series of missed calls and messages, and the best intentions not to lose touch seem impossible to fulfill. Yoongi carries the sadness around with him, a heaviness in his heart that he just accepts as part of what fate has dealt him. Leaving the music industry gave him his beloved career - helping people who have lost their way find themselves again is more fulfilling than anything else he has ever done. But Yoongi has never lost that yearning for the feeling he had from sharing all the highs and lows, laughter and heartache, with his best friend.
Fast forward to now. Yoongi has the opportunity to go to LA for a conference, and isn’t sure he wants to.

Namjoon yawns scratching his stomach as he walks out of the studio for the first time in ten hours. He’s beyond tired and just wants hot food and a warm yet cozy bed. What he doesn’t expect is a stare down in the middle of the kitchen. His toddler with his hands on his hips as he looks up with pursed lips in disgust. “No!” Jungkook hollers attempting to snatch away his toy from the pair of hands holding it. “You have to eat first.”
“No, no, no!” Jungkook stomps in a circle in mid tantrum. Namjoon looks at the scene in disbelief. This isn’t the Jungkook he remembers. Jungkook would never snatch anything, he wouldn’t stomp, throw tantrums, nor yell. He's always a good boy for Namjoon at least.
“Kim Jungkook.” Namjoon calls out to Jungkook whose eyes are already brimming with tears as he runs to Namjoon. Namjoon bends down unconsciously wrapping the toddler in his arms as he cries. He hears the retracting footsteps knowing he's messed up. Namjoon has a routine and it’s becoming a bad habit. The moment he sees Jungkook’s doe eyes he wavers; forgetting it was no longer just them two.
