this is just a threesome one-shot, turned into a short story, turned into a book again, because i can't decide who Kuroo should be fucking - Tsukishima or Kozume.
i also had to write about the island of Hokkaido, as it seriously is the prettiest place on the planet. this book is also a spin-off of my book [クロ月 | KuroTsuki]: On My Knees (Begging You To Touch Me).

He looked around, hoping Kuroo was just playing a cruel joke but he then remembered the gift he got yesterday. His hand raised up to the stone around his neck, transferring his magic and watched the way it glowed.
“Kuro…?” His voice cracked slightly as he whispered onto the stone. “Please come back to me.”

Kuroo woke up in the middle of nowhere with no memories of his past, but thankfully, the people here were accepting and took him in; especially a particular mage-in-training.
He felt accepted in this community, until he discovered an ugly truth about himself.

“Things like these were only supposed to happen in movies, and even then people might find it unrealistic, but it wasn’t unrealistic. It happened. Not only did it happen, it happened to his friend. Why couldn’t they just live a life where the worst thing to happen to them was the takeout place messing up their order? Why couldn’t the most upset Kenma was be because he got tired due to volleyball in high school or because he unexpectedly had to reschedule one of his streams now? The weight of the entire cruel world sat on Kuroo’s shoulders. He was crushed.”
Kuroo gets a call during a work meeting that Kenma is in an emergency. He rushes over to to help and realizes the situation is even worse than he thought. Kenma’s situation isn’t something that Kuroo can fix, but he does his best to make it a little better. It’s the least he can do.
TRIGGER WARNING: This is really dark. Most of my other works are light angst. It is not like those. It is major angst. There’s a serious sexual assault involved and lots of the consequences that go with it are discussed. It isn’t graphically described, but it is clear what is happening. Though the ending is slightly more optimistic, it’s angst all the way through

“Are you two dating?” He read the question aloud and Kuroo visibly froze in his seat. It took Kenma a bit too long for his liking before he shook his head, “we are not. Just friends.”
“We’re childhood friends so I guess some of our actions may have confused people.” Kuroo added, nodding. “Even our friends get confused a lot too.”
