Summary
Their eyes meet. Or Dongsik hopes they do, because he's not convinced Joowon is actually seeing him. "Joowon-ah, what's wrong? What happened?" he tries again, equal parts hopeful and desperate.
At that, Joowon blinks several times, his cheek twitching. Dongsik latches onto anything he can get.
"I..." the other finally starts, then drifts off again. His voice is hoarse and it matches the red around his eyes. Then, in a whisper, "It's— all my fault."
"What?" Dongsik asks, leaning closer, "What is?"
OR
Joowon talks about his mother.

Summary
This is a complete timeline of all the events that happened in "Beyond Evil" that anyone can use as a reference. I compiled it for myself so that I can write my own fanfiction, but I would love to share this with others, too. Dates are in YYYY/MM/DD format. Dates with an asterisk (*) are my best guess. Some dates are not specified in the show except for the year and month, which appear as YYYY/MM. Times are as specific as possible, but general times of day are used as well. Times are italicized. Locations are underlined. A list of all named characters is provided at the end. Their names are listed in Korean, the Romanization the show uses, and the Revised Romanization that I prefer. Each character has a small description, too. Some important quotes are listed in both English and Korean, for my own reference. The lyrics of "When I Am in Busan" by Eco Bridge and Choi Baekho are included in the original Korean and my best English translation (I am not a native speaker). This is the song that Jaei and Dongsik sing in the show.

Summary
Two years ago, Juwon walked into the Manyang substation intending to arrest a man for murder, but he walked away questioning himself, his life, and his heart.
Dongsik taught Juwon that stepping beyond what one thinks is good can reveal the true face of evil.
Now, Juwon is faced with walking a fine line between losing himself and learning to accept the new person he's become inside a world that is no less corrupt than it was before.
Will conquering the evil he discovered in his own life help Juwon step over the line separating him from the older man he's fallen for?
What if Dongsik doesn't give him much of a choice?

Summary
“It’s okay, Han Joo Won," Dong Sik doesn’t take his eyes off the road, continuing his teasing. "There’s no need to be jealous," he flashes a devilish grin and in return, gains Joo Won’s beauteous but fixated glare, completely ablaze with exasperation. "You can share me-”
“-Jealous?”
Dong Sik is the walking definition of whiplash… and Joo Won refuses to wear a seatbelt.
[OR: Han Joo Won has to endure a normal day at work; one free of serial killers, finger-pointing, and traumatising crimes. Although, he’s not sure what he gets instead is much better.]

Summary
"You'll find my mommy, right Officer?" she asked, blinking away tears fast as her lip wobbled.
Han Joo-won wasn't a man known for a soft attitude, but something about that little girl tugged at his heartstrings, causing him to crouch down to her level and meet her with the faintest of gentle smiles he could muster.
"I definitely will," he assured, lifting his hand to stretch his pinky out to her. "I promise."
The girl's face lit up as she returned the gesture and linked their pinkies.
OR
Joo-won promises a little girl to find her missing mother and unintentionally saves a part of himself in the process.
