In retrospect running away from home was a really bad idea. Sure, living with his verbally abusive, severely homophobic parents had been horrific but after two weeks on the streets, he was more than happy to suffer it for food, warmth and not having to sleep with the smell of dumpster juice.
He’d been half asleep when they’d grabbed him. He made to scream, not that he’d thought it would do much good, but they’d anticipated it and already had a hand over his mouth. A strong sweet smell filled his nose and he instantly felt himself start to feel a little dizzy as his vision began to darken.
