Summary
This started out as a short story in response to the lack of respect John Reese's ultimate sacrifice was given in Return 0. We never saw any of Team Machine show grief. We saw happy Finch with Grace and it killed me to see Shaw & Fusco smiling & having coffee. Reese was barely mentioned. We as fans were not given a chance to grieve......with the characters or with each other. SO I wrote my own ending. But then it took on a life of its own.......complete with untold backstories that I always wanted. Writing this was very cathartic for me, helping me deal with the loss of Reese and the show itself. Shared grief always helps. I hope it helps you also.
