“Look, all I’m trying to say is that I understand it was an accident,” she replied as softly as she could muster, folding her arms over her chest, before a thought suddenly occurred to her. “I’m… I’m sure Mari would understand that. She’d even forgive you, I’d reckon.”

“I hear you,” Aubrey whispered, looking away from him and out towards the town below them, recalling what Sunny had said about the accident. “It was just something stupid you did in a rush of emotions. I can relate.” She added on with a bit of a somber tone.
“You didn’t kill anyone.”
“I almost did. If Hero hadn’t been there, both you and Basil would’ve more than likely drowned.”
