Bruce growled, cutting John off before his older brother could finish his sentence. “How many times do I keep having to remind you that my name is Bruce?”
John stopped Rhonda and got out of the driver’s seat. “You can do that as many times as you want, brother,” he said as he walked over to him. “But I am never going to get used to it.”
Bruce got in John Dory’s face, pressing a finger against his forehead. “You better, bro. Because I will hit you the next time you do it.”
Or: John slips up and accidentally calls Bruce Spruce. His younger brother isn’t happy about it.

It started raining when he was visiting and before anyone knew it, it was coming down hard. The weather team had told everyone to stay indoors until the rain stopped or at least calmed down.
It had been hours now. And Trollex’s anxiety had increased. And her concern had increased.
It wasn’t helped that sometimes, the thunder and lightning…would sound just like the sound of someone playing a guitar.
While Trollex is visiting, a heavy thunderstorm hits, forcing him to stay in DJ's pod. It isn't helped by how loud the thunder is and how it reminds him of previous events. DJ tries to help him through it.

Summary
Out of all the Kingdoms, Pop Village was hit the hardest.
Techno Reef and its surrounding settlements had surrendered without much bloodshed.
Classical put up some form of a defence but were swiftly overwhelmed.
Country was spared most of the carnage that had befallen the other Kingdoms due to them deciding to fight the Rock Trolls out in the open, up close and personal, keeping them from using their music to blast them away and blow their town to pieces.
Even with the power cut, Funk still managed to put up much of a fight before Barb took their once-long lost prince hostage to force them to stand down.
Pop…was unprepared. It was ripe for the picking. Even with Branch’s traps and the Fuzzling security forces, Pop didn’t have the numbers. Hadn’t in decades since the Great Bergen War and the many years of Trollstice.
And now…it was burning.

DJ sighed as she sat there in that cell. The cell was reasonably comfortable with a proper bed, a sink, a toilet, and some books to read in case she got bored. Everything beyond the cell was tinged with orange, thanks to the forcefield locking her in.
It had been a few days since she got captured. A few days since she was taken from her friends and family. A few days since her fight with Poppy and Branch over them keeping secrets from her.
She curled up further as she thought back to their row. How could they do this to her? How could they hate King Peppy for keeping secrets from her when they did the same to her? How was that fair?
It wasn’t. And it made her angrier as she thought about it. That was probably a reason on why she had accepted Bay’s offer.
(After being captured by a mysterious group of Trolls, DJ ends up meeting another Treasure Troll and learns more about the state of the Hinterlands. Takes place further down the timeline in Romantic Losses)

She took a deep breath and gathered her courage before walking up to the door with determined footsteps. She peaked her head out slightly. Her eyes widened at the sight.
It was him, no doubt. The Troll on the bed had cyan skin, dark magenta pink hair, purple eyes. He wore black ripped shorts with a large belt-buckle and a black vest with pink stitches in the shape of a broken heart on it.
Floyd currently sat on the bed, tuning a guitar. Once he finished tuning it, he continued to play. How did he do it? How could he mix Pop and Rock together so seamlessly? Only a few Pop-Rockers had been capable of that.
“Woah,” She must’ve said that too loudly as Floyd stopped playing and looked up, his ears flicking back and forth. Before she could move, Floyd turned to the door and made direct eye contact with her.
They stood there, silent as the grave and still as a statue. After a few moments, Floyd spoke, “Ummm, hi?”
