Kel really didn't know how he got here-
Holding hands with Sunny, running through the woods, to an unknown destination, just to get away from everything. Sunny's mom wouldn't care, but Hero and Kel's mom certainly would. It was... Freeing, though Sunny dropped out, and Kel just left, the ravenet had a suspicion that some job would hire them.
The two had been planning this, really since they were kids, but Kel didn't expect Sunny to actually want to, the duo had money from a few weeks at Gino's, which paid 10 bucks an hour, not bad.. Enough to get a little crappy apartment. But Kel was content with just being with the ravenet.
It seemed everything was OK with Sunny, no matter what.

Guess her lit-up screen must have more-than-hinted this to her mother. No point in hiding it - not that there was any reason to hide it. Unless the pink-haired girl(whom Sunny was pretty sure was the one who texted her just now) was an actual criminal, possibly unknown to Sunny herself.
"They texted me first," replied Sunny curtly, afrer taking a deep breath, pressing the power button on her phone to turn it off. She glanced down at her rice, nearly finished. Just as she dragged her fork across the plate to move the rice grains around, another electronic buzz interrupted, nearly shaking the table.

"At first, all Kel saw was a bright, white light as the moon completely overlapped with the sun, but then it changed to a stunning black circle with a white ring. It was indescribably beautiful. The park gradually erupted in cheers and applause, but Kel whooped the loudest with glee, jumping to his feet.
In the heat of the moment, he pulled Sunny up with him, hoisting him into his arms, and started spinning. He let out a quiet yelp as Kel spun him as fast as possible. “Kel-” But he jolted to a stop before Sunny could get another word out and pulled him into a frantic kiss. After a moment of shock, Sunny returned the gesture. They only broke apart once Kel felt he was about to asphyxiate, neither noticing the shutter of a camera.
The pair fought to catch their breath, Kel setting Sunny down once the world stopped spinning. He panicked when he saw how dazed and discombobulated Sunny looked. “I’m... sorry…” he said in between breaths, “I just…”
“Kel... Never... apologize for kissing me.” Sunny caught his breath faster, beaming up at him. He pressed another kiss to Kel’s lips."Kel, Sunny, Aubrey, Kim, and Basil enjoy a picnic in Faraway Town to watch the solar eclipse.
