Five years ago, Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd lost the most important person in his life. His professor and soulmate fell down a deep Abyss and was presumed to have perishet. Framed for the murder of his uncle after returning to Faerghus, he was sentenced for execution
Only barely managing to escape seemingly at the cost of Dedue's life, he would've broken down and would have succumbed to the voices in his head calling him a monster if not for one thing: his soulmark was still glowing, meaning that Byleth was still alive.
Putting all his hope on that, he travels the continent for five years trying to find her but without success. Eventually returning to an abandoned Garreg Mach, he feels more hopeless in years and wonders if life was still worth it, praying for the Goddess to give him a sign.
Thank goodness Byleth literally has the Goddess inside of her, right?
