Wally was thinking about his next question when his leg started to sting. He looked down to see a thin tear through the leg of his suit and a piece of steel sticking out of the ground. His leg was healed by the time he picked up the metal, giving it a once-over.
“Looks like he’s not too fond of you,” the man said, then he disappeared into the crowd.

Cassandra Cain is a robot, created by David Cain using data from himself and Lady Shiva. She ran away and was fixed by Barbara Gordon.
Stephanie Brown is a robot, created by Arthur Brown using the little coding knowledge he had. Due to her code not fitting her objectives, she had to create more code for herself, and wrote herself into consciousness.
Unfortunately, when someone decides who they are, they tend to not choose to be someone who follows orders. And when they're a robot, there's a way of fixing that, which they very likely would not like.
AKA: Gotham robot AU, centered around the time of the time Bruce fired Steph as spoiler, ft lots of fun worldbuilding and cass-typical angsting!
