Damian refuses to show any weakness. He was the grandson of Ras Al Ghul and the son of the bat after all! Of course when His father is swept away in a timestream and Dick takes up Batman it’s not much of a change since Damian wasn’t situated in the first place. Damian doesn’t need any weak vulnerable things like hugs or simple comforts. He’s a trained assassin and robin after all.
He reconsiders after actually getting one from Dick one night.

Summary
Batman takes to Crime Alley to investigate rumours of a new young vigilante: Gotham Girl (original character). The young woman has been changing the landscape of the city's darkest corners, but Batman is unsure how. In the prologue of this three volume, multiple chapter series we are introduced to Gotham Girl, a martial artist intent of improving her community through any means possible.
In volume one we are introduced to the character as she builds relationships with Tim Drake and Damian Wayne, struggling to find her purpose when pushed outside her comfort zone by a mysterious new drug lord called Fang. Each volume develops each character as they struggle to find their way in life and mature under the weight of their mantles and pasts. Volume one focuses on Gotham Girl, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne. Volume two introduces Jason Todd and changes the rules of the game for Gotham Girl and volume three concludes the character's arcs with alternative endings to the comics. Will Gotham Girl stop at changing Crime Alley or will her impact affect also the lives of those around her? Will she stop at bringing the people of Crime Alley together or will she inadvertently bring a shattered family back together?

They hardly stayed long enough to remember their promise, never stayed longer than to pack up to just leave again.
