Separation was a rite of passage, something to be proud of. The bond between Kree and daemon was sacred, but it was also weakness; having your daemon by your side night and day painted a target on the both of you, whereas allowing them to travel away from you not only shrank the target, but gave you strategic advantage over your enemies.
At the end of it, though, they don't feel proud; they just feels tired, and sore, and a little sick.

After the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" events, the heroes receive a help call of girls and boys being held captive by evil traffickers. After an intense battle rescue, they soon find that one of the captive girls is badly damaged and take her to the Benatar spaceship to help her.
The girl, whose name is (yet) unknown, can't talk due to the trauma of the terrible place and is terrified, unsociable and skittish beyond the Guardians, but with time, she starts to form a lightful bond with them, specially with Groot, Mantis and Rocket.
She accepts the risk of being part of the group of Guardians, and soon starts living adventures with them.Series
