    Warm fingers trailed his collar, then up his neck to his hair. “Your hair’s wet.” Then, Bakugou gasped. “You idiot. You actual idiot. Holy shit. We have to get you warmed up.”

    Bakugou pulled Deku into his bed with a bit of urgency, pulling the covers over him. Yanking his shirt off, he then snatched Deku to his bare chest, and Deku really liked where things were headed.

    “C’mon, you’re fine.” His chest vibrated as he spoke. His hands ran all over Deku’s body, hastily slipping under his sweater to try and warm up his skin. “Why’re you breathing like that?”

    “Like what?” It kind of felt like there were bees buzzing in his chest. Wouldn’t that be funny?

    “You’re scaring me.”

    Huh, that was different. Bakugou didn’t get scared, and if he did, he never said it. Why was Deku scaring him? He didn’t want to upset him.

    “Fucking useless villain. The bastard brings us nothing but shame. I can’t believe something like that is my son.”

     

    How many times can a person endure being betrayed until they break?
    For Izuku, the answer was four times. Four betrayals is what it took for him to understand that he can't trust anyone but himself.
    His parents, who were supposed to love him, betrayed and sold him.
    The heroes who were supposed to protect him, betrayed and handed him back to his abusers.
    Yet, even after all his suffering, and all the pain he went through, Izuku still wants to save people. He wants to save the people that heroes refuse to. And no one will stop him from doing just that.

    The child is one who, in the past thirty second has run full-pelt into Nedzu, sending them both to the floor; promptly carefully pulled the hero up by the front paws in lieu of ham-fistedly attempting to scoop him up around the middle like most humans, particularly children or dismissive adults, are inclined to do; and proceeded to apologise profusely whilst calling themselves a Deku.
