“Don’t forget us,” Mariam says, pressing a red cord she wove into Alibaba’s hands. Maybe it’s selfish of her, to chain him to them like that, but she doesn’t want him to leave them behind.
Alibaba looks at it, then looks at her. “Come with me,” he says, pleads. And— she wants to, she does. Of course, she has to convince Cassim first.
...“Are you really just going to let him leave?” she challenges her brother. It’s part-bluff; if Cassim really does choose to stay, she’ll stay with him too. She won’t leave her brother alone in the slums.
But Cassim’s always been accommodating of his younger sister and her whims. “Okay,” he says, and lets her pull him to meet Alibaba.
When Alibaba leaves for the palace, they go with him.

Summary
Just a few years after he is recognized as Balbadd’s third prince, a young Alibaba is kidnapped by sea pirates. Through a series of "rescues" (by both pirates and passing merchants), he somehow lands his way into Sindria, the place he’s always wanted to visit...
Except, he has to go back home now.
But how could anyone ever accept to bring him back, when he is a child with nothing to his name and no proof of his identity? He will just have to work until he has enough money, hiding any trace of his true identity by darkening his hair with black soot and ink… or maybe a lucky encounter with Sindria’s King will help. If only Alibaba knew what the king looked like…At least, there’s this purple-haired fellow who’s friendly enough with him...

Kougyoku sent him a chastising look before swiping through the opened documents in her tablet.
Kouen rolled his eyes. “You’re right, but this time, you’re my favorite agents because you two are going on the field to finish this cursed job. I know you just came back not even 12 hours ago, and I wouldn’t put this on you if everyone else hadn’t, as you said, ‘screwed something up’.”
Kougyoku looked up in apprehension. “The… the others worked on this? And they… failed?”
“Spectacularly.” Kouen said with a sigh.

Non è che non lo volesse tra i piedi; Alibaba era più che in grado di cavarsela, se si trattava di situazioni alla portata della loro età.
