Summary
A collective decision to kill changes the way the marauders see each other, as the guilt of their actions catch up to them. It's Lily and the marauder's final year at Hogwarts, an elite and exclusive institute specialized in medical research. The group relies on each other to stay sane, having to coordinate between friendship, love, class, privilege, family... and murder.
The way the trees curved around the makeshift pathway, dead branches barely hanging on, reminded Remus of the ribcages from dead bird skeletons he kept stumbling upon last winter.

James Potter’s life hadn’t started until July 31, 1978, when his son, Harry Potter, was born. He truly hadn’t known his purpose in life until he experienced raising a little boy. He first experienced true happiness when he married Lily Evans on August 31, 1981. He died on October 31, 1981, but no one had realized because he hadn’t been the one buried. Then, on June 24, 1993, his life ended for a second time.

The sharp wind whistled in his ears. James Potter's perfect smile shining through the dark shadows of the night.
"Oh baby black, what's this?" His gentle touch grazed the skin of Regulus' forearm; the dark mark squirming under the touch. A disapproving tut comes out of his mouth. "I thought we showed you better." He continued, a teasing tone to his voice.
"We're teenagers James, things change. We both know that by now don't we? I'd hope so, seeing as the girl you were once so hopelessly in love with is over there snogging Macdonald." Regulus wanted so desperately to taunt James Potter. He wanted to have his words carve themselves a place inside his mind. He wanted him to never be able to think of anything else but his voice, the sharp corners to his words. He craved James, and he hated him for it. He wanted to make James as miserable as he makes him.
