Genshin Impact is a stupid game. Christian de Neuvillette regrets paying for it, even though it helps distract him from the hatable reality of him being in a family of politicians.
And then he had to die of a dumb staircase accident, and- Whose WONDERFUL idea was it to stuff him into the body of Fontaine’s villainous water dragon, again? And to make the matter worse, said dragon still has to die at the end of the Fontaine Archon Quest line, which HAS to happen!
Not keen on dying a second time, Christian turns to the simplest, yet most elaborate idea he could turn to for the sake of his survival: the path of being naught but a simple NPC! No one said a new guy can’t barge in! Perfect setting for staying out of harm’s way!
What he didn’t take into account, though, is all the shenanigans that might possibly come with being a human transmigrated as a dragon posing as a human.

“No,” he replied, interlacing his fingers with hers on the other side of the table. “It’s not that. Thank you for bringing me here. Thank you for giving me a home,” he procured the blue ribbon, slightly creased from wear, from his coat pocket and set it on his desk, prompting Furina to pick it up.
“I— uhm, well, no problem? Thanks for coming here?”
And then Neuvillette laughed. He sounded like a tea kettle.
The first time Furina learned what “home” meant to another person, it was warm.

Boothill’s been having these weird dreams lately. From what he’s deducted, in these dreams, he’s some sorta prime minister called “Neuvillette”… a “hydro soroveign” to be exact…. Boothill doesn't know what that means, and initially, he didn't care.
Until the dreams suddenly didn't feel like dreams anymore, normally it shifted from one scenario to the other, snippets never making sense with all the switching around.
If he thought about it, there was definitely some big story coming together, but he's still missing too many pieces, lacking in too much information to actually know exactly what's going on outside of the basics.

Summary
Neuvillette was many things, he was the chief justice, the Hydro dragon, a father for the Melusine’s, and most importantly, a protector of Fontaine. He was always there to protect his nation, being through justice system or fighting against the primordial sea. He was also someone who had great knowledge and intelligence, giving advice to Lady Furina on matters regarding the city and its people.
So, Arlecchino knew better than to try and steal the hydro gnosis, or fight for it. No, she was no opponent for the dragon, she needed a plan in which her biggest threat would do no harm.
But how? It seemed impossible, no vision holder would rival him, weapons would be pointless, and outsmarting him was as difficult as it sounded, all this not counting the people that would help Neuvillette defend Fontaine. Maybe a drug could work? Yes, a drug that would hold his power back, that was the plan the Knave came up with, and, with the help of Il Dottore, a substance that was capable of altering one’s age was created.
Turning the dragon into a child with no memories, no knowledge, control over his powers and defenceless. The perfect plan. Or so she thought.
