It's a sight Adaman had never actually seen before; the side of their face covered by overgrown bangs, which had fallen out of the way. It revealed a shut eye with visible scarring that marked their top eyelid, and reached down to their cheek.
Adaman's heart sunk. It didn't take a genius to know that it indicated a missing - or at least heavily damaged - eye. Especially with the way they cover it all the time.

Sinnoh Champion Dawn hasn’t been seen for months. Former champion Cynthia bribes several gods to get her back, which doesn’t quite work out as planned.
Now stuck in the past with Dawn, some seriously misguided doppelgängers, and a celestial squabble threatening to boil over into reality, Cynthia is at the mercy of the Divine. (Which, as a historian, is actually pretty interesting! If you ignore the threat of mortal peril.)
