Sirius and Remus need to overcome the effects of their difficult childhoods while the wizarding war rages on. Time slips away as they figure out their bond with each other. This is a canon compliant slow burn fic hence the world building unfortunately depends on the Harry Potter books.
The fic is divided into 12 subparts with 12 chapters each = 144 chapters, with both Sirius' and Remus' POVs as the story progresses (“why 12?" Well, iykyk but if you don't then do your waiting, 12 years of it, to figure out).
