“Look,” Gi-hun says gently, cupping his alpha’s jaw and breaking In-ho’s spiralling chain of thought. “I get it. You’re about to be challenged for the pack, and you’re anxious about us. But we need to find a balance between you feeling that everyone is protected, and ensuring that your relations with the omegas are maintained and all pack members are happy. The omegas are not happy being monitored so closely by the Pack Alpha, and it’s starting to annoy the other alphas, particularly Jung-bae.”
The mention of Jung-bae has In-ho flushing even more as he thinks of his earlier fantasy involving Dae-ho.
He opens his mouth to argue, pauses, opens it again. “I’m not… that bad,” he defends himself weakly, cringing at how much it sounds like a question rather than a statement.
OR
In-ho is formally challenged for the leadership of his pack by an old acquaintance, and he’s not coping well.

“Not there.” The wheels under In-ho’s chair slide smoothly to ferry him backward. He turns to the left, uncrossing his legs as he does and pats his palm onto his lap. “Here.”
