The person for whom it all was probably hardest was Louis.He was terrified that he'd lose it all, he couldn't imagine himself out of one direction. But he was the most afraid of losing Harry. Webster's Dictionary defines the word distant as "having or showing a lack of friendliness or interest in others." To some people now a days you could use the name "Liam Payne" as a synonym for that word. That was the only word one could use to describe Liam now a days. Distant, off-putting, withdrawn, you could go on for hours looking up synonyms, and he knew it too. He knew that he was becoming a shell of his former self, every interview he did was almost like he was crying for help, but no one cared to notice, they just cared about the fact that he went on some podcast with a shitty person and said some things he shouldn't have.
The clouds grew grey over Zayn's head as he ran to Liam's apartment in the middle of London when he had the gut feeling that this wasn't just the rainy season, it was something more.

I walk out and look at mum and my eyes are filled with tears again. She drops her bag and runs to me, she hugs me so tightly while telling me it's ok and that we can fix this. I just shake my head and hold on tight, I never want to let go.
Anne, Robin and Gemma were comforting Harry on the bed and reassuring him. You can feel the heartbreak in this room. My eyes drift around at everyone’s faces, there were looks of worry, anger and tears. My mind is spinning at this stage and then I hear the muffles of Lottie and gems crying, they’re now holding each other. I have tried so hard to protect everyone from all of this but they have finally dug their claws and poisoned our family and it’s killing me with guilt.
“Lou” my mum’s voice brings me back and I focus on her “I’m sorry mum” is my first words I’ve managed to speak since she walked in. Mum grabs my hands and looks at me with sorrow and hurt in her eyes. “Love, never apologise to me, this isn’t your fault we’re here now and to help you both” she reassures me while reaching her hand out for Harry’s.
