This is of course, my take on it, and it should be treated as that. A new take on the story.

This is a tale laden with magic, spirits, gods, and demons based on the Dragon Age Avvar culture. In the midst of it all is a complicated enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance.

While the Wardens are betrayed at Ostagar and the darkspawn horde washes over Ferelden, the avvar of the Frostback Mountains also face that threat. Darkspawn pour out of the Deep Roads and destroy their home as they march towards Ferelden. Thus, one hold sends out one of their own, Brand Thorasen, to uncover the Grey Warden's secret so that they may use it to defend their home against the tainted tides. Alas, along his journey, Brand uncovers a far greater secret, one that could stop a lot more than the Fifth Blight if the price is paid in full.
