Summary
The Dunedain are sworn to serve and protect the heir of Isildur. Miril, foster daughter of Halbarad, is no different. When Gildor's warning reaches Míril that Gandalf has gone missing she acts once again in service of her chieftain no matter the cost.
But on the eve of the War of the Ring, nightmares of a deep ocean and the drowning of Eärendil's star begin to plague her sleep, causing the Wise in Middle Earth to fear the fiery blood running through her veins can no longer stay hidden. Neither from the Enemy, nor from Míril herself.

In a small village wrapped in mist, whispers rise of seregrog—blood spirits said to descend from Thuringwethil’s brood, thought long vanished from the world.
What begins as unease becomes fear, and fear becomes truth. Something walks by night, unseen but watching, drawn to light, and to love that burns too brightly.
Together, Elrohir and Legolas must face what lingers in the dark, where desire and death entwine, and the line between beauty and horror blurs. For where the light falters, shadows remember, and evil waits to be named again.

Summary
I had a crazy idea to write a story in which Bucky Barnes somehow falls through a portal (or maybe just hits his head) and finds himself.... in Middle-Earth. You read that correctly. About the Middle of the Third Age, to be precise.
Is it a dream, or is he really here, encountering Elves, Dwarves and some very strange Men - as well as an Orc or two and maybe even Gandalf at some point? I have not made up my mind up, but I hope to have fun with a modern superhuman lost in a very strange world, full of creatures just as powerful as him.
I don't know how this will turn out, or how people will like it, but here's my first chapter.
The author is European, hence the spelling and forgive me if I get any details about the American landscape wrong.

Summary
Aragorn had not lied when he said he saw something of himself in Maerel, understood the need to lick one’s wounds in solitude. A teenaged Estel had found nothing more irritating than the well-meaning but bothersome attentions of his mother, foster father, brothers, and teachers, sometimes all at once, and he was none of those things to Maerel. Perhaps a teacher, if he took a more direct hand in her training, but he feared the appearance of favoritism almost as much as she did. The Chieftain could not be perceived as partial to any one Ranger or trainee, especially not one newly adopted into the House of Aranarth.
Maerel of the Dúnedain returns home to resume her training among the Rangers, where she must navigate new challenges, a new family, and the watchful eye the Heir of Isildur. Meanwhile, Aragorn tries to bond with the newest generation of Ranger recruits.

The Dead are walking across Middle-earth. With the palantir-network down, there is no way to warn the world of the danger that is lurching out of its shadows save by carrying the news out by hand. Imladris Hospital has failed to find a cure. Mirkwood is burning, and Gondor rots from within. A desperate company of Elves, Men, and Dwarves strike-out across the shadowed land to seek answers from the lore-masters of Lothlórien, but the journey there will prove darker and more perilous than any could have foreseen. Will they live long enough to save their homelands? Or will they die…and Rise again?
Or: a zombie apocalypse story set in a modernized high fantasy version of Middle-earth starring some familiar faces in a very different war against the dark and the dead.

Summary
Adamanda, known by respectable Shire folk as Diamond, disliked her responsibilities as a daughter of the North-Tooks. Many even of her own family had forgotten from whence they came; the blood of the Bullroarer ran in her veins. It should've been no surprise that her adventurous spirit put even most of the Tooks to shame.
But not Peregrin. When Pippin Took goes missing from the Shire, Diamond is determined to find him and scold him for not taking her with him wherever he decided to run off to. But it might not be so simple. A shadowy white hand is reaching out to strangle them. The Shire will need heroes. Diamond knows she isn't one, but in dark times, even the smallest, least respectable hobbits must take a stand.
And perhaps when Pippin returns, she'll have some stories to put his own adventures to shame.
