Keith knew he was down bad. Like, really down bad. He was a lovestruck, pathetic, totally whipped loser who couldn’t go five minutes without thinking about a certain reckless, blue-eyed heartthrob who fronted the hottest band in the country.
Yeah, he was talking about the Lance McClain.
And no, he didn’t want help. Didn’t need saving. He was perfectly content drowning in his delusions, thank you very much.
The band? Defenders. An explosive mess of guitars, eyeliner, and chaotic interviews. The Defenders were a rising rock band, new and fiery on the scene. Four extraordinary members made up the group: Rolo, the calm, dependable guitarist; Hunk, the energetic and passionate bassist with a big heart; and Pidge, the tech-savvy, cool-as-ice drummer who kept everything in sync.Their fandom was a battlefield. To the false gods, he sent a prayer of thanks for his cat, whom he had despised with a burning passion before this day. He was atop the under the bed, where his cat had torn the fabric around the wooden beams. Blood splattered, small flecks of it landing on the carpet barely visible to his eyes. To afraid to move and shield his ears and heart he was forced to endure the heart-wrenching scream that would forever echo in his mind.

Ever since they saved the Balmera Lance has been acting differently. It seems like he's turned into a darker version of Keith. Which is weird in and of itself. Shiro tries talking to Lance but it doesn't help at all. When they receive a distress call from a nearby planet, one mostly covered in water, Lance gets a semi bad feeling. He feels drawn to it but keeps his feelings to himself.
That choice may cost Voltron their Blue Paladin.

If Pidge's digital calendar was correct, today is, in fact, a Monday, about two years after their initial rise as Voltron Paladins. So when the alarms start going off while he's having his morning goo, spoon halfway to his mouth and hanging dangerously loose in his tired hand, Keith knows he's going to have a rough day.
