Dedra Meero’s parents were trash, and the orphanage their negligence left her in was catastrophically abusive. Always her worth was denigrated and her aptitude was challenged, but she made a career for herself. And she found love. Then she lost all of that, but not everything.
No, there is still the Empire, and there is honor in work, and to her dying day Dedra will serve Palpatine’s cause of righteousness and order. Perhaps by then she will have learned how to forgive herself.
TLDR: Dedra is plagued by her mistakes, traumatic early life, and fellow inmates while she toils for her beloved Empire… in an Imperial prison.
