Summary
Susan was done with the trailer park she grew up in after a disastrous eighteenth birthday. Humiliated and broken hearted, she leaves for London, where she attends a fashion school and follows her dreams of becoming a fashion designer.
A couple years after she leaves, the last person she wanted to see has shown up on his motorcycle holding a letter from her mother. She has to return home for a wedding, but being back there, old wounds have been cut open again and she’s not sure if she can make it until the wedding.
But Rodolphus doesn’t plan on letting her go this time.

“If you get it right, I’ll kiss you,” you say. He gives you an admonishing look before picking up the teacup and examining it carefully.
“I have no fucking idea,” he says eventually. “Dirt?”
“A horse head,” you correct after checking. “A lover. I guess ‘cause you’re in love with me.”
“Are you deluded?”
“It’s Divination. You’ve gotta be.”
Royal laughs. His eyes are the same pure blue as the cloudless sky behind him.
“You are just looking at my hands and hallucinating,” he says, splaying out his fingers between you, the silver horse head and horseshoe on either thumb. His nails are painted a pearlescent white. You grab your camera from the grass beside you to take a picture of them.
“Or you wear those ‘cause you’re in love with me,” you say.
“What does that even mean? How would I have possibly known you would start making this shit up?”
“Maybe if you learnt Divination.”
