Almost everyone is convinced they are dead, but Pomme isn't so sure. After recruiting help from the chaotic Brazilian vigilante, Mimic, the pair dives into the mystery of the Heroes of Quesadilla island, the Federation, and what exactly took place after the Great Purgatory War that nearly destroyed the island when she was a child.

Tallulah looks across the sea of sick parents and splayed wings. Baghera is passed out along the edge. Forever is awake but too sore to move. Wilbur sits nearby, giggling to himself as he watches his wing flex in the air. She can't see Quackity, but she knows he's buried somewhere in the blankets. Phil is by far the most coherent, being the only parent still upright where he leans against the wall. He's pale and spacy, but he responds quickly when Tallulah chirps.
"Hey Tallulah." Phil says, voice thin and cracking.
"What happened here?" She asks.
Phil scowls, raising a shaking hand to point at her papa's giggling form. "This fucker."
