Now stuck in crumbling buildings and glitching hallways with a half-unhinged crew (and an even more unhinged boss), Pomni finds herself circling one mystery after another—most pressingly, why her cameraman, Jax, is so good at getting under her skin. The crew led by Caine, a man too obsessed with uncovering “truth” to care who gets hurt, stumbles through haunted locations, fake and real scares, and a huge amount of danger. Pomni’s new coworkers are chaotic, the stories barely hold together, and the footage won’t stop showing things no one remembers filming.
Now she’s stuck piecing together more than just a story — including herself.

This is a fanfiction based on The Amazing Digital Circus
It is about how Jax may have lost his ability to find comfort in friendship and connection with other people after a traumatic event like losing such a deep connection. It shows how (in my fictitious opinion as a fan) he hadn’t been familiar with bonding even before his friend’s abstraction, so once they were gone, connections had fully lost all meaning. This was written as of the release of season 1; episode 5, prior to any knowledge on the canon events of Jax’s abstracted friend, Ribbit. The only thing we know for sure is that they had a connection, and that it seemed to affect Jax. Everything in this fic is an assumption/headcanon about the true events that happened afterwards and the character's emotions, as we don’t have the rest of the information yet.
It is just for fun, and I hope people enjoy it :33 (If it doesn’t result in tears like it did for me while writing LMAO)
