Star had always preferred a life lacking in responsibility, comfortable with letting her mother take care of any of the more daunting tasks within their Kingdom. So, when her twenty-first birthday marks her turn to take on the wand, she is neither eager nor prepared. A failed assassination attempt lands her a one-way trip to Earth for the remainder of her magic training, and her life is uprooted. But maybe this change of scenery isn't so bad.
After everything he's been through, Marco had made up his mind: his third year of college is going to be entirely chaos free. He just wants to finish his studies and move on with his life. And almost being sucked into a vortex by the newest inter-dimensional student isn't going to dampen his spirits. Neither will the fact that she seems to have taken an unnervingly firm interest in gaining his friendship.

Summary
The ending of svtfoe was... subpar at best. It's really a matter of opinion, but I personally despised the ending and felt the need to rewrite it. The magic was still destroyed by Star and the rest of the Butterfly family, but in my ending; Starco was not prioritized. I don't like how starco was handled in the show, I personally felt like it was forced/rushed. I still touch on starco in this rewrite, as I won't deny the feelings these characters shared, but instead of making Marco and Star reunite in the dying magic and creating a portal, they go to their respective dimensions and stay there, separating.
What would have happened if Star and Marco really DID separate in the magic and the two dimensions never merged?

Marco and Star Stood in front of each other, Mewni and Earth had just merged and so a new era had begun.
What if that wasn't the end of the story?
After all magic was wiped out of existence, Earth and Mewni merged, there had been new conflicts evolving. Princess Star, Queen Moon and Former Queen Eclipsa have to stop a new group of powerful humans threatening to take land from Mewni and other kingdoms. The fate of Mewni and the other Kingdoms rest on their shoulders.
With the Butterflies still ruling their kingdom and there being no High Commission Members- other than Moon and Eclipsa there's lots of new disruptions for them.
Star and Marco try to navigate their relationship and friendship with having to be apart after a big decision was made that affects the future of the kingdom and Earth

Butterfly!Luz AU- Princess Luz Butterfly was a rather peculiar girl, even by Mewman standard not to mention weird. Imagine everyone's shock when the Queen announced that the girl was to receive the Royal Magic Wand. People were less shocked when said princess was to be sent away with said wand. Star, a magical princess from another dimension, is kicked out of her own dimension by her parents because of her wild and unpredictable nature, which is now multiplied by the fact that she's inherited a magical wand that allows her to cast spells and use magic. In this new dimension, she meets a boy the same age as her, named Marco. Despite having almost polar opposite personalities, they get along like no other as Marco goes through the trouble of guiding Star through her new home on Earth. Together, they go through both wacky and serious adventures through Earth and multiple other dimensions, meeting more enemies and friends as they go through the slogs of freshman year in high school and battles with monsters to protect herself and the most important thing to the Butterfly lineage, along with magic itself.
