    Halbrand, heir to the throne of the Southlands, finds himself stranded in the middle of the ocean with only the old man Diarmid for a friend.     It has been exactly five years since Galadriel fought against Sauron and he stabbed her with Morgoth's crown. The elves are at war with him, but they suffer further defeats and desperately seek a way to destroy him. Meanwhile, Galadriel fights her own internal battle, unknown to anyone else. Sauron is constantly present in her dreams and continues to tempt her. The situation becomes even more complicated when Arondir is seriously wounded and informs Galadriel that they cannot rely on Númenor's help.     Her heart pounds in her chest. She wonders if the other two can hear it with how loud it sounds. It nearly drowns out his next words.
    “Demanding the return of their queen that we have taken from them.”

    Or after the end of season 2, 'King of Men' Halbrand decides Galadriel is his queen whether she likes it or not and Galadriel does everything in her power to make it a problem.

    “We should stay focused on the difficult journey ahead,” she whispered. “Distractions during the upcoming battle could be fatal.” This venture was only an expedition but would likely turn into something much deadlier.

    “That is tomorrow’s concern, which I will treat with utmost seriousness and urgency,” Halbrand vowed. “But what of tonight?” He asked in a low voice, his lips hovering just above hers.

    Galadriel could hardly breathe. And could think of no more excuses to not reach for what her heart greatly desired.

    Galadriel smiled softly, “Because you would never forget something you wanted that was denied you. It is not your way, Lord Sauron.”

    His answering grin bared all his teeth. “Perhaps you do know me well enough, my lady,” he rumbled a laugh as he reached out his gauntleted hand towards her.
