Summary
During the better part of the first year following Mary's death and the events at Sherrinford, Sherlock and John are slowly rebuilding their lives and their friendship.
All seems (relatively) well and John takes comfort in once again being a father, a doctor and a friend.
An unexplained shift in Sherlock's behaviour catches John by surprise, and he begins to worry about his place in his friend's life.
John has to examine everything he thought he knew about Sherlock, himself and their relationship in order to win his rightful place yet again.

Summary
I began this with "If Inconvenient, Love Me Anyway". So you should probably start there first.
I just wanted to write something where John is trying to figure out his place in the world and his place with Sherlock. To figure out what it means to now be with a man. I hadn't seen too many fics about him coming to grips with the reality of his bisexuality. Or rather, can there ever be too many? He's spent (at least in my version of things) his entire life believing himself, for the most part, to be straight and dating/sleeping with women. That is the extent, the sum and total of his applied sexual knowledge. It's also just relevant to his self-knowledge in general. We tend to focus on Sherlock's inexperience but in this respect, they're on the same level. John has to readjust, rethink who he is, who he was and who he wants to be. I thought there might be a story there and I hope this is a good one.

Intricate. I like the alternating POVs, I think it's genius for suspense. As someone who knows whom to believe from how I came to the fic, I was still, at times, wondering if Mycroft was being paranoid.
He did say she was able to do it at age 5, which is why I think their parents must have not been immune. And it physically hurts to realise the sort of things they must have done to let Sherlock keep his memories repressed. As well as the fact that Mycroft had to deal with it more or less alone, for decades.
如果分章就好了。Sherlock把Rosie交出去的那一个镜头，我感觉我的心脏都要停止了。Something like that belonged to the end of a chapter, of an episode, where you cut in title music and whatnot.
我觉得就是很真，就，Mycroft需要一定程度的解离才能摆脱她。他需要能够控制他的解离。整个小欧的描绘都特别特别真实也特别特别恐怖。
