Summary
Lottie hasn’t spoken since they dragged her out of the wilderness—not to her parents, not to the doctors, not even when the headlines turned her into something mythic. Not a single word, not through therapy, not through medication, not even after the electricity. Until one day, the only person who ever stood a chance of reaching her walks through the door—Natalie.

Summary
There's something Lottie has been holding in from just about everyone in her life- and now, via text and phone calls, she decides that she's ready to tell Nat. Here's a snippet:
"Do you.. Understand what I’m trying to say right now?"
"Uh… I’m kind of lost here Lot."
"Natalie.. I can see death, I can see tragedy, I can.. . I even know how we’re supposed to die."
Nat froze, her breath catching in her chest, hardly absorbing the words that trickled into her ear from her shitty phone.
"The… fuck.. ?"
Nat promptly hung up the phone, pacing back and forth, her hands digging into her pockets and her thumbnail running over her brow, anxiously brushing off sweat. It almost felt grounding. Almost.

**Note- Major spoilers up to the end of season 3 of Yellowjackets***
This started off as purely a chatfic- just texts and dialogue between Nat and Lot, but it has since developed into something more. Enjoy~ this is my own personal headcannon of what's going on behind the scenes in regards to Lottie/her choices and how she perceives the world. Enjoy, but also tread with caution- we explore some deep, sad topics later on.

Summary
"Neither of them wanted to be alone. So they weren’t. They lay in bed, pressed against each other until there was no space between them, and Jackie would rest her head on Shauna’s chest just to hear the beating of her heart, to remind herself that they were both alive. But they were not okay."
OR: Jackie lives. They get rescued from the Wilderness. But they are still not okay.

Summary
In this Yellowjackets one-shot, inspired by Dostoevsky's White Nights, Natalie Scatorccio tells the story of her fleeting, forgotten relationship with Misty Quigley to the ghost of Jackie Taylor. As Natalie reflects on the memories, distorted by time, drugs, and trauma, she questions the fragility of love and what it means to be truly seen. Jackie listens, the ghost of a connection never fully realized, as Natalie recounts her own emotional struggles, the weight of unspoken love, and the haunting possibility of lost chances.

“Do you remember that night?” Natalie asked. “The night we killed Coach Ben? I came and found you. You weren’t in your shelter, and I came and found you sitting up against a tree. You still had your hands over your ears. He had stopped screaming by then, but you still did.”
“We didn’t kill him that night,” Misty said. She said it slow, like there was something more. Natalie was so afraid of the something more.

a collection of interconnected post-rescue mistynat oneshots centered around "Being Alive" from Company, in which natalie realizes again and again what misty means to her (tw for attempted self-harm, attempted suicide, drug addiction, basically all of facets of natalie scatorccio's character)

Summary
“Van,” someone murmurs, cold fingers wrapping around her wrists. “Hey, c’mon.”
The fire roars, crackling sharply, and she flinches. The grip around her wrist tightens, rope burn against her skin. It’s familiar: knots rubbing her skin raw, tethering her to something warm and soft. A drafty attic in the middle of nowhere, her arms wrapped around a distant-eyed girl with a lazy smile and whiplash words.
“Tai,” she whispers, hoarse.
“Yeah, babe,” Taissa says into her ear.

Summary
I’m sorry. Have I ever told you that? If I did, did you even believe it? I’m not sure if I would believe it if I were you, but I’m still sorry. I didn’t mean for everything to turn out the way it did with Javi, then Ben, then everybody else, but it’s still my fault. I don’t expect you to forgive me, but I want you to know that I’m sorry.
Out there, I thought that I was fearless. Here, I don’t think I’ve ever been so afraid. They claim that they’re making me feel better, but I feel like I get worse with every passing day. I don’t know when they’ll let me out, or if they even will. I don’t know if I should even be allowed to go out. Nothing feels real anymore.

Summary
She’s trying. She’s trying.
But there’s this ache. Not loud. Just ever-present. A small splinter under the skin every hour. A person-shaped absence. The dip of the mattress under another body. A hand that isn’t her own between her thighs.
She thinks about Natalie more than she should. Less than she used to. Somewhere in that middle place that makes every time she strays feel like picking a scab.
They haven’t spoken in weeks. Months? Time has gone slippery again. Charlotte told herself that was a good thing. No contact meant boundaries. Strength. It meant she was moving on.
Natalie, after all, was never good for her. And God knows she had never been good for Natalie.
And yet, every time the buzzer rings, Charlotte still checks her reflection in the mirror.

Summary
Malcolm Matthews is asking Natalie to babysit his fucking kid, who’s apparently well enough to get discharged from the looney bin but not well enough to live on her own. Curiosity prickles in her brain – she wonders if Lottie has grown out her bangs, if her voice is the same, – things Natalie hasn’t wondered about for years. Does she even want to see Lottie? She fucked them over to hell and back with that ritual cult bullshit, but still. She wonders, dimly, if her therapist would say seeing Lottie would 'trigger a maladaptive response'.
She makes a point not to think about the fact Lottie asked for her. Multiple times.
or
Natalie's back in rehab for the third time and almost about to go back out into the world and ruin it all again. That is, until she gets a call from a man with an offer for her: live with Lottie Matthews, watch her, and keep her on her meds. Something pulls her to say yes.

Summary
How it started:
Nat sputtered and flicked cigarette ash all over herself and Shauna's kitchen. “Wait. Is this really happening? We're actually going to break Lottie out of the psych ward, kidnap a Rabbi and marry her off in 48 hours?”How it's going:
If someone had told Lottie that she'd be married to Shauna Shipman she would have assumed that they were going to end up seeing the same shrink. If someone had told Shauna Shipman she'd be married to Charlotte Matthews, she would have been confused. Then she would have knocked them out because Jackie Taylor would have gotten upset.
Or at least that's what Lottie has been able to surmise from watching Jackie's ghost follow Shauna around since she became Charlotte Matthews-Shipman.
