REQUEST: I was wondering if you can you please write a one shot of Izo x reader where the reader is the daughter of Kozuki Oden and Toki. After the death of her parents, Izo decides to protect her at all costs, even willing to give his life for her. He becomes extremely protective, not allowing any of Whitebeard’s other commanders to approach her.
During Marineford, she is determined to fight for Ace, but Izo refuses to let her join the battle, insisting that she stay on the ship. His only goal is to protect her, which leads to tension between them. After Marineford, they end up having a heated argument because she feels frustrated that he wouldn’t let her fight.
As days goes on, Izo realizes he has fallen in love with her, but he struggles with his feelings. He knows that he can’t love her because she’s the daughter of oden and he had a huge respect for him, he promised he would protect her. Later, Izo will not be able to confess his love to him because the day he decides to finally express his feelings, he dies. It’s Marco who will tell her.

Thick beams of unstained wood criss crossed above, holding up a high ceiling where paper lanterns were hanging but unlit. Sabo was staring at them when the hand settled on his forehead, making him flinch, eyes snapping to the side. His heart was racing in panic, thumping into his throat to choke him but slowing when his eyes met Izou’s.
There was a bandage over his eye, covering the wound he’d received when fighting the slavers to rescue Sabo. Aside from that he looked unharmed, and Sabo sank into the cushions, shutting his eyes.
“Where am I?” Sabo asked, wincing at the way the words grated up his throat.
“Safe,” Izou answered, carding his fingers up through the fringe of Sabo’s hair, brushing his bangs from his forehead. “You’re in a secure bedroom located in one of the houses in the middle of the Kozuki’s estate.”
Sabo groaned. “That’s a lot of words.”
“You’re somewhere no one can hurt you."
