Summary
Compton, California, is the city that Kai Masuda, or Drift as he's known in his night gig as an enigmatic graffiti maestro, grew up in and lives in; the city's his pride and joy. But when fate digs its golden chains into him and drags him into the foreign and convoluted world of Reality Zero, he'll have to unpack who he is beyond the city that raised him, all while grappling with new powers bestowed by an ethereal spirit and unwanted attention from the Island's Government.
This work retells the story of Drift from Chapter 1 Season 5 onward, majorly expanding on his character and background in Compton, the Road Trip gang as a whole, and the world of Reality Zero and beyond. It loosely follows canon at points, but various creative liberties have been taken to create something a little more unique.
This is a view on humanity, fate, and the City of Angels.

It's the first day of Winterfest, and all throughout the Island people are having fun, playing in the yuletide atmosphere, and doing seasonal activities that don't horrifically backfire, like baking.
Unfortunately for the Road Trip Gang, that last one doesn't happen. Specifically the baking.
(Or: what happens when you're in the middle of writing a much more serious adaptation of C1S5 and then get the seasonal urge to commit chaos.)
