Ned manages to get a message sent to Robb, after discovering the truth of the Lannister incest but before Robert's death/Neds capture.
Generally more positive for Stannis & Robb than canon (granted that's not hard…), but firmly not in wank territory aiming for something closer to GRRM's bitter sweet preferences.
The plan is to split the story into three parts (they are a bit too short, at least in this fandom, to call them books)
1 Call to War (complete) chapters 1-30, the alternative War of Five Kings
2 Tears for Autumn (ongoing) chapter 31-??, Focuses more on the challenges of peace building/making and how the Watch prepares for the Others when it is actually getting decent backing from the Crown.
3 Prayers for the dawn chapters ???-??? not started yet.

"Laws can be changed. I am Robert's master of Laws, and no one knows better than I," said Renly. His tone returned to his previous carefree tone, "And Shireen can marry my heir."
Stannis' jaw tightened. "Okay."
Renly smiled. For an instant, Stannis saw the child again in his face. The child who had been trapped in Storm's End with him, waiting to be fed, the kid who put on a cloak and pretended to be a dragon, the kid who was teary-eyed when he got up and left Storm's End.
"Want a peach?" the child he loved said .“你将会是我的继承人，直到我生出一个儿子。”史坦尼斯说。

Summary
Come the new year, I started reading Game of Thrones fanfictions, and I decided to write one of my own.
This is my first ever one, so feel free to give whatever criticisms you think are necessary.
And there are plenty of "what ifs" in this:
What if Ned sent Robb to King's Landing to learn under Jon Arryn?
What if Jon Arryn sent for his great-nephew Harrold Hardyng to get to know his great-nephew better?
What if Arianne Martell was sent to King's Landing to "case the joint" for House Martell?
And finally, what if Theon chose to support the family that he felt a part of rather than the family that scorned him back home?I make no apologies for my bias towards Robb Stark, he is my favourite character and deserved better than what he got.
I decided to go with Robb Stark and Arianne Martell because they seem to be a rarely-used couple and when I got planning and read a few other fanfictions online, I thought that this would fit perfectly.Well, enjoy, and like I said, feel free to give whatever criticisms you think are necessary.

No one ever expected Quentyn Martell to ever rise to the heights he did. Nevertheless, Quentyn the Victorious or Quentyn the Lionslayer would be the one to guide Dorne through the dark days following the War of the Five Kings and the days of the War of the Dragons, and usher in the Dornish golden age. Thanks to him, the Martells soared from one of the weakest houses of the kingdom to a position of kingmakers of the realm, and made Dorne into a true force to be reckoned with. However, such a path was not a walk in the park, and the prince had to fight his way through his enemies, and at times, his own family, in order to get there.
