Summary
Lucanis does feel guilty, sometimes. Spite can smell, taste, hear. See clearly, once Lucanis got out of the way. To feel, though… it just doesn't seem to come across the same. Maybe that's what happens, when you get forced into a mind actively pulling as far away from the body it's inhabiting as hard as it possibly can. Or maybe it's just a spirit thing. That's a preferable thought. Less likely—but preferable.
Spite, at least, doesn't seem too bothered by it. And it has been a somewhat convenient misalignment, occasionally. In a fight, unbothered by an injury. At the end of a particularly long day, easing protesting muscles and joints into a tub of ice water without worrying about objection. And with sex. Convenient, that Spite finds it puzzling and pointless, at best. Boring, usually.
The problem, of course, is Rook. Spite might find sex odd and uninteresting, but Rook? He's turned towards her like the sun from the first moment.
So, really—Lucanis should have seen this coming.

Summary
"I had to make one of the worst decisions I’ve ever had to make in my entire life today,” she says quietly, enough so that he can hear a little tremble in her voice. “I had to play god for a second there. I don’t like it.” Her fingertips graze up into the hair at the nape of his neck. “I just want to feel mortal again. I just…” She swallows audibly, her eyes dropping for a moment. “I just want to feel something, anything but this.” Rook’s eyes meet his again. “Please?”
--
Lucanis and Rook have... something. They're both afraid to put a name to it, but it's something -- something casual. Something that Lucanis has convinced himself is for the best and just two adults working through horrors beyond mortal comprehension.
Or, that's how he feels until they recruit a Navarren necromancer who, unlike Lucanis, has no problems being upfront with his intentions.

Something is afoot in Antiva. Following the fall of the Evanuris and the annual Dellamorte Satinalia gala, the Merchant Princes have gone silent. News from Antiva City? Quiet as the grave. Suddenly, Merchant Princes and King Fulgeno II’s bastards alike begin turning up dead across Thedas, silver ribbons affixed to their throats. Per volontà del Creatore, l'Unico Re di Antiva regnerà, poiché questo è il Diritto Divino dei Re. By the will of the Maker, the One King of Antiva will rule, for this is the Divine Right of Kings.
But everyone knows that the Crows rule Antiva– so when Eighth Talon Calliope Arainai turns up dead with a familiar silver ribbon adoring her throat, the message, and the threat, is clear.
This is the Divine Right of Kings.

Summary
A series of short fanfics surrounding my personal Rook Nimue de Riva, and her relationship with Lucanis Dellamorte. May contain some OOC behavior for certain characters, but most of this is my own headcanon concerning said character(s).
Most chapters will be Teen rated, with a few that might have some more suggestive themes included. I try to post them in chronological order, but at some point they might be out of order. If so, it will be noted at the start of the chapter when they take place.Updates every Friday until completion

Summary
Rowan sits bolt upright, blood rushing to her brain, and nearly loses consciousness again.
“Varric?”
She looks around. She’s not in Minrathous. She’s not in the Lighthouse. She’s in a small wooden hut, the Frostback chill seeping in through the thick pine walls and competing for dominance with the heat of the fire crackling in the fireplace.
She’s in Haven. 9:41 Dragon. She traveled through space and time, arriving not at Arlathan before Solas’s ritual, but at the Ferelden Conclave, just to be blown up, hurtled back into the Fade she’d so recently escaped from and then out again, now marked by god magic.
Fuck.
When Rook discovers that time travel exists - and her friend Dorian helped pioneer it - she begs him for a favor: send her back to the ritual so she might save her mentor and friend, Varric, from Fen'Harel's knife. Dorian sends her back, all right - eleven years back, to the moment everything went to hell and the Herald of Andraste was born.

"As a young boy, you often daydreamed of your perfect match, of finding a striking romance to sweep you away and become the only priority in your life. You dreamed of what she would look like, what scent her skin would leave on yours, and of how her love would feel…and it was all wrong. Elyse Aldwir was, as you now know her to be, your soul’s mate, your confidante, and your heart’s truest desire. And she is here with you now, her lips meshing with yours flawlessly, like two halves of partly chiseled marble had finally joined together with their matching counterpart. And, ****, you can’t ever be without her again." | Emmrook. Original female Rook.
