Richard invites Alex to come along and see what's inside after a key shows up by courier. Complicating this is the fact that someone stole his coat at the coffee shop before they left, it's cold and flu season, he's a complete asshole when he's sick and he's too damn stupid to get a new coat. So of course, the inevitable happens.
