Summary
Shouyou shuffles along with the crowd, the distant hum of voices, the blur of faces around him, and the rush of hurried footsteps that filled the air was a welcome distraction for his wandering mind. His footsteps started to slow as he caught sight of something that froze him in place—a flat-screen TV mounted in a shop window.
The moment his eyes landed on the screen, everything else around him faded away. It was a replay of the televised Spring Tournament.
His hands tightened into fists in his coat pockets as the image washed over him. The feeling of the court beneath his feet, the rush of adrenaline in his veins, the roar of the crowd. He wanted a place on that court.
Shouyou’s breath fogged in front of him as he remained in place, staring at the screen. A pang of longing gripped his chest.
Soon, he thought to himself, his gaze unwavering.

A Kyotani x F! Reader fanfic, currently untitled, and I have no real plans for the storyline yet, but feel free to jump in if you're interested!
I will try not to make Reader be too specifically shaped to fit any physical description (tall, short, thin, blah blah blah) to make it more universal, but it is written as a female character insert, so pronouns are going to read as she/her/hers. Potential trigger warnings will be listed at the beginning of chapters and I apologize for any OOC habits or scenes from cannon haikyuu characters, I am not a huge Oikawa fan in particular, so I may mold him to fit what I need in the story. So far, I am not including other ships (IwaOi, MatsuHana, KinKuni), but you may feel free to read into their scenes as much as you'd like! I may add some innuendo for the fans, but it doesn't have to be seen as romantic if that's not your thing. Feedback is ENCOURAGED, and I'd love any tips or suggestions for character lines, cameos, and plot points-or whatever you'd like to see/feel happen! This is my first work, so I hope it lives up to the debut glory, and I hope you find it enjoyable ;) -

Oikawa feels his hands burn. He flexes them to stop the shaking, ignoring the pain.
“Why won’t you look at me like you used to?” Hajime asks.
“I don’t know what you mean.”
“Don’t.” Hajime’s voice is sharp, and it digs into Oikawa’s skin like a thousand needles. He thinks he may be collapsing, but he’s not sure. “Don’t do that with me. Not right now.”

Something was definitely up with him. “Let me see… Date Tech obviously, along with Johzenji, Wakutani Minami, and Aoba Johsai.” At the mention of the last school, Suga’s expression shifted slightly. Daichi raised an eyebrow. Whatever that was, it was new. He hadn’t noticed Suga taking any particular interest in Seijoh before. Hopefully this wasn’t a problem, Daichi thought mildly. Karasuno certainly had strong enough feelings about Seijoh and their so-called Great King already.
With the Spring Tournament right around the corner, Karasuno and Aoba Johsai are invited to a week long training camp.
