Summary
In the aftermath of Scarab's tantrum of cataclysmic proportions, the Boss entrusts Orbo with disciplining Scarab.
Which Orbo thinks is a little rich, because it's not as if he hadn't guessed that Scarab might react poorly to being permitted to go on this mission only for his efforts to be all for naught. Most universes tend to sort themselves out just fine after the growing pains of being not-quite-canon.
But all that leaves him with is a mutinous and grudging god-auditor, and a daunting time limit to get the truth out of Scarab before his sentence is passed down.

After receiving an alert about the Lich, Scarab immediately goes to the Time Room, arriving just in time to save Prismo's host from the Lich's clutches. However, he did not arrive quickly enough to keep the old man from being awoken in the first place. The multiverse can't survive long without the Wish Master at the center of everything, keeping track of the wishes of mortals. If only the old man's suggestions on how to get him back to sleep were a little more... orthodox.

Is this a whim of wind rewrite? Absolutely, I hate my writing in that so I'm rewriting it. Strap in for the ride.

Scarab ignored him, but Prismo’s words stirred something in the depth of his mind.
“What I wish…” Scarab said to himself, and then, stopped. Wishmasters were not allowed to have wishes for themselves. And if he aspired to be one day, he could not stoop to such a level.
