The only way he doesn't make it is if he gets into a car accident in Red's car once he buys it and gets his license, because, well, don't be ridiculous, Red will never learn to drive.

His fingertips, despite the fire covering them, burning tissue maddeningly fast, go numb. He sees a piece of wood in front of him, sparks blurring before his eyes.
