Summary
With a perfectly arched eyebrow, Arlo asks, “Are you sure this is the best way to do this?”
John grunts, teeth gritted. “Fuck off, Arlo!”
“Seriously, John, I don’t think you can just yank at the blades like that–”
“I said it’ll come off!” John snaps, giving the fan a particularly vicious tug.
Arlo sighs heavily, taking a well-needed sip from his mug. “Fine then. Go ahead, you fucking brute.”
John freezes mid-pull, glaring down at him. “Excuse y–”
His retort is cut short by the sudden, metallic groan of the ceiling fan giving way. The blade in John’s grip wrenches itself loose with a sharp crack, sending John stumbling backward and landing on the floor with a heavy thud, the fan blade clattering beside him.
“Shit!”
--A small glimpse into a usual morning with John, Arlo, and Sera.

"It hardly matters, does it?" John says more to himself than Arlo, and then bitterly You wouldn't remember anyway.
Or, the day of Arlo's betrayal is stuck in a loop much to the dismay of one John Doe

Summary
If I woke up in unOrdinary, I would immediately make Arlo x John real. Who wouldn't?
//
The day I woke up in the unOrdinary world, I was assigned a single mission:
In one month, make John and Arlo fall in love.
One word, one action, one decision I make… could change everything.
(Basically, reincarnation story but it's a fangirl making her dream pairing come true.)
(This is technically a self insert story, but I switch povs a lot to Arlo and John after chapter 5 so not really)

Summary
At a deserted plain, full of dust, more dust, and a little more dust, two Wellston Royals argued. Not about the rebelling students, no, that was another issue entirely, but about the position of Jack.
Or…
The fork tradition is passed down one more year.

Summary
It’s a broken world wobbling on the stilts of power and regiment. A world dictated by levels and abilities. Unbalanced. Undisciplined. Unfair.
After John’s suspension from Wellston, Spectre and the Bureau mobilize to capture him - their next best resource: the usurper to patient Jane - taking seemingly any risky maneuver for their own gain.
In this collision course of abilities and allegiance, everyone learns something new about themselves for both better and worse. Loyalty is never cut and dry, as bad is not always evil.
One thing is for certain; the evils were always there like invisible ink.
Now they needed to be the blacklight.

Summary
John never had it easy. Hell, his parents were murdered right in front of him when he was only five years old. They just never woke up no matter how many times he shook them and begged them to move if even just a twitch of a finger.
He ran that day. Ran until he crashed into a certain greenette. Rei was only 9 years old at the time, but he knew he had to help.
Just like that, a new addition to the family was added.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or: John's parents are murdered when he's only 5 years old and he ends up getting adopted by Rei's family.
Cue: big brother Rei, sister Remi, and Kuyo who John gets along with insanely well >:)

Summary
(Discontinued/ On hiatus with no guarantee of another chapter)
John had always denied that the number on his arm was showing her because her soulmark couldn't show his, right?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone is born with a number on their body – at the time 1.0. It varied where it was on one’s body, but there were always a few consistent features for each person: it had their soulmate’s ability level, eye colour and it would glow anytime they activated their ability, like their eyes would.
At that very moment, Seraphina had pulled back the sleeve on her left forearm as she stared out in horror at the scene unfolding before her.
The 7.5 showed on her forearm near her wrist with a burnt orange-gold glow.

Summary
It is the responsibility of those gifted with powerful abilities to stand over the rest of society, to make sure every citizen knows their place. For Arlo, this is the belief that has been instilled in him since he was young, and one that he has upheld fanatically ever since the disastrous end of his mentor’s alternative system.
So when Wellston's rank one steps outside the hierarchy, concerning herself with trivial matters and in the company of the school’s lowest ranker, Arlo schemes to drag both into their rightful roles. His plan? To isolate the weakest link, the false cripple, and squeeze him out like a lemon.
But just before Arlo’s plot can reach its climax, an unforeseen party steals away his means of attack, throwing his plan into ruins and leaving him at the mercy of the two students he’s despised most. Now forced to feign strength to hide weakness, and to keep playing friendly with John, Arlo must navigate a Wellston that’s far more dangerous to him than before, all the while confronting ugly truths about the hierarchy he’s venerated his entire life.
