Summary
A few months after the events in the Burning Shores, things in the Base have quieted down. With her companions having gone their separate ways for now, Aloy works with Beta and GAIA to prepare for the upcoming fight. That is until Alva shows up with Seyka. And if trying to navigate the unknown terrain of being in a relationship wasn't enough for Aloy, a few familiar faces show up at the Base, asking for her help in finding some missing Tenakth, who have seemingly vanished without a trace.

I was just diagnosed with autism and moderate ADHD, started a new job, and my entire demeanor is completely different. I am getting to know this version of me. I feel peace. I hope to feel the writing bug again soon, but all my thoughts currently are on this missing piece of me that I've just been handed. -

One spectacular catastrophe later, the group is separated. Now Aloy, Seyka, and Alva must find a way to get back to GAIA and Beta before Nemesis ends life on Earth once and for all.
This is a direct sequel to The Missing (a few weeks after) and my take on the possibilities in Horizon 3 that no one asked for! If you haven't read The Missing, you might want to but it's not completely necessary to know what's going on.

Summary
A look across the expanse of the ocean, from the sea to the sky, one may wonder if fate will bring these two elements together. Just as surely as waves rush over sandy shores, leaving their touch behind in the now sand-soaked waters. Their never-ending embrace forever consuming as they blend together to become one with the sea again. A natural and never-ending cycle of building and destroying, ultimately resulting in the creation of something new.
This "something new" offers a glimpse into the ever-evolving relationship between a Nora and a Quen who share similar experiences but differ from each other in distinct ways. How will these similarities and differences converge? Will the anxiety surrounding a rapidly growing relationship persist, a fear that many of us can relate to despite its inevitability, much like the transition between day and night, and from night to day?
Or is it simply the weight of responsibilities and suffocating pressure that make it difficult to resist the call, pulling them back and leaving everything behind without a trace? Will they allow the burning shores, which tell the tale of their passionate love for each other, to wash everything away and destroy everything they have built?

Now, she must introduce Seyka to those who chipped so skillfully away at her walls and became as important to Aloy as the very air she breaths. The very idea of calling for a reunion because she, of all people, wants to hold a celebration, is outlandish by itself. But she is also dealing with this new feeling of affection, an unfamiliar, giddy excitement, and nerves.
On top of all that, Kotallo gives a very unexpected reaction that ends up setting just the right tone for this odd band of wonderful allies she’s accumulated.

Seyka rolls over to find the space next to her in the bed empty, blankets folded over to reveal the slight indentation that still remains from her body in the tired mattress. Seyka inhales deeply, wood and laundry and still the faintest scent of Aloy, and lets herself awaken the rest of the way slowly. She has time. Aloy hasn’t run away, not like she used to back in the days before the fire, before the kiss, when sharing each others’ company was at times a desperate cling to someone neither of them thought they’d get to keep. She’s close, and she’s waiting, and anyway it’s all her, a little bit, in the way a home—a real home—carries with it a piece of the soul of a person.
