Summary
Follows the story of 6 unlikely allies who find themselves thrown together by fate in the cruel and harsh Sixth-World of Shadowrun. These are the narrative adventures of my TTRP group, in our campaign. A new chapter is written most weeks. Because this gets published to my players, it's written from an in-game perspective, with imperfect knowledge - there's very few instances where you read something that wasn't directly observed by them, and as a result sometimes something weird and a little unexplained can happen.
Most of the chapters are probably PG-12 - but it is a harsh world, and gun battles and brutal melee is definitely a thing. There's also some adult content and some scenes of attempted kidnapping and rape of some of the team, and there's a few instances of torture. It's all (hopefully) in context for the story, and I try to keep it implied or not too heavy on the detail - enough so you know what's going on, without being gratuitous.

Crossposted, unsurprisingly. Feedback is much appreciated, as long as it's constructive.
Most of these will involve Marvel/the MCU, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm a sucker for canon divergence, both reading and creating, especially when the train actually goes off the rails; it can be easy to get into the habit of 'this is how X event would have looked with the changes I introduced earlier' even when those changes really mean that X event shouldn't have happened at all, and the story ends up being a rehash of canon with a couple of extra flairs rather than an exploration of the core idea. Self-insertion can make that very easy, along with Peggy Sues. In the same vein, introducing a character or group from one setting into another almost always creates an outside-context problem with potentially fascinating results, and many abilities can do the same when transplanted into a new or existing character.

But instead of a capitalist hellscape starting in the 90s granting corporations the powers of governments it is arriving on a world facing a slow apocalypse where super powered individuals called parahumans reign supreme.
On one dark and lonely night Taylor Hebert goes out into the city of Brockton Bay on her first steps to becoming a super hero. Instead of facing something small like a mugger or a small time villain she runs into Lung. The Dragon of Kyushu who faced the Endbringer Leviathan — a Kaiju that destroyed the islands of Newfoundland in Canada and Kyushu in Japan — in single combat.
Facing the Dragon in single combat she draws the attention of a mentor spirit. The Dragonslayer appears before her expecting her to die but revealing the existence of magic in her last moments.
When she is saved by an unlikely group of teenage villains the Dragonslayer begins teaching her the ways to magic and she becomes one of the first true mages of the 6th world.
