Moiraine, a wealthy noble woman, lives under the thumb of her half-brother who only sees her as a pawn to further his political power. One fateful night derails the course of her life completely, and she finds herself swept into the world of a vampire coven led by none other than Siuan Sanche.
Siuan has newly come into her position as leader of the coven and is realizing that she may have to sacrifice her humanity to hold onto power when she's surrounded by people who would love nothing more than to take it from her. However, the coven's newest initiate has caught her eye - rather inconveniently, if you ask her.

Summary
Moiraine let out a tiny giggle, wrapping her arms around Siuan and pulling her close. "Get over here," she said. "I want you as close as possible."
Siuan did as she said, shuffling as close as she could to Moiraine, so they were flush. She could feel the warmth from Moiraine, and the light floral scent that was unmistakably hers.
"That's better," Moiraine said, squeezing her arms around Siuan. "The exact perfect distance that should be between us."
It was Siuan's turn to let out a little giggle, this time. Moiraine was just too adorable. She leaned up for a soft kiss, then Moiraine cradled Siuan's head against her chest, and they soon fell asleep, nothing but their soft breaths and gentle snores in the quiet.

Moiraine reaches a hand towards Siuan's and taps it. "Stop it," she says gently, a smile tugging at one corner of her mouth. Her own dark hair is loose around her shoulders and curling softly at the ends, a pair of gold wire-rimmed glasses framing her sapphire blue eyes. The sight of her is so endearing that Siuan wants to simply grab her and kiss her.
Though of course, she can't. Even though she wants it more than anything. Because Moiraine clearly thinks that they're just friends, even if she hasn't explicitly said anything about it.
That thought still doesn't stop her from wanting to kiss Moraine anyway. While Moiraine continues working, Siuan secretly steals glances at her- taking in every detail of her, from her beautifully high cheekbones to the cute little slope of her nose and her perfect skin. Lower still, to the contours of her jaw and neck, the lines of her collarbones, the curve of her waist. She could stare at Moiraine for hours, and would never tire of doing it.
The same smile flits across Moiraine's face as she notices Siuan looking at her. "What?"

Siuan and Moiraine exchanged a look. Usually, they were good with handing in things on time, but because it was Elaida, they hadn't bothered. "She's not worth trying for," Siuan had said, taking the papers and tossing them onto the floor of their bedroom, and gathering Moiraine into her arms.
"Agreed," Moiraine had said, snuggling against Siuan and pulling them onto the bed, where they'd spent the rest of the afternoon. "Cuddling with you beats any assignment ever."
