Demons were just like humans, even though humans wanted to eradicate all demons. Family's torn apart, children and infants killed. The government and HPSC took demon children and used them as weapons, training them to be killing machines. Some became assassins and others became villain for new heroes to take down.
That was all going to change, because Demons were just like humans. They wanted peace, the ability to live happy lives. So they were going to make sure that happened, even if it meant killing others.
