Boothill really didn’t mean to get this drunk. It's just whenever he’s around Diluc it's almost like he gets sucked in. They drink and drink until they do things they don't mean and boothill can't get home to say goodnight to Clementine awake or not. This morning after an apple delivery is no different from the others, going home sore hungover and with an empty apple cart.
The first thing he noticed that morning, other than how fit Diluc still was for a retired knight, was the knights of favonius parked in his apple field, the apple field that wasn’t even done growing.

His mental pep-talk does little to unroot his feet from just around the corner of the sitting area of the cafe section of “The One and Only”. He can hear a few other voices of other patrons chatting as they ate, but the clearest to his ears were the father/daughter duo that had stolen his attention.
'You can do this', Argenti takes a deep breath, 'Just ask for their order. Smile and nod. You’ve done this a million times before'.
Finally, he tears himself away, forcing himself to walk to table number 5.

Last time he’d acted like such a bumblin’, dick-brained fool, he had been a damned teenager.
He was a grown man. What was wrong with him.
A rumbling groan echoed throughout the garage as he resolved to double his effort into getting this job over as quickly as possible. He’d hand the bike over on Monday and hopefully never see the man again.
This could not be happening to him.
Single parent Boothill takes on a technically last minute job from a pretty stranger, who, against his will, wormed his way into his head. Once he returns his bike to him, all his problems should be solved and he'll have his mental peace back.
