Daniil Dankovsky was spiralling. There was no other word for it. As much as he wanted to go back to his comfortable academic life in the Capital, he found himself rotting in it instead. Past research in ruins and any ambitions of a new one pushed aside in favor of alcohol and emotionless one-night-stands. The putrid air of smoke-filled bars and busy streets suffocated him just as the plague had. So, before he could properly think about it, he paid his way onto the first coal supply train to town-on-Gorkhon and turned up on Burakh’s doorstep unannounced, but more welcomed than he would have expected.
In which Daniil Dankovsky confronts his existential crisis in the comfort of the Burakh household, while flirting his way into Artemy’s bed. Other shenanigans ensue
