Ikeda already had this talk with Hirose. If he was "safe at home" and "would he be okay if he went back home."
At least Hirose knew how to back off when his pestering was clearly unwanted. Unfortunately, Tei wasn't Hirose in any sense of the world, particularly with his so called "sympathy." He kept going on and on.
And through lies and deceit, Ikeda wouldn't allow himself to be fooled by the end. He simply couldn't.
OR
In which Tei finally tries to talk to Ikeda about his homelife among other issues, and the conversation doesn't go as smoothly the way that either person wanted it. Tei is persistent, but he can't confirm anything if Ikeda refuses to listen or accept a thing he says.
