The camera roars to life with a startling sputter, the image flickering in and out of existence until it finally sharpens, out of focus and way too close. The face of a young boy fills the screen. There´s a concerned frown on his lips and his eyebrows are drawn together. Slowly, as he fiddles with the camera, the image sharpens.
He did not adjust the ISO well and through the greyscale of the super 8 film his blonde hair melts into the paleness of the clouded sky, leaving him looking a little funny, almost bald.
“Is this gonna take any longer, Bob? We have to be at the house by nightfall.”

An archive from a now-deleted post on an old internet forum for security systems. For the sake of simplicity, only the authors comments and a few other select commenters have been recorded. The author describes a problem, which evolves into a potential software anomaly, that is occurring with his security system (Containing a couple security cameras with microphones, motion sensors and a remote doorbell). Me and my colleagues would like to stay away from the paranormal aspect of things, but the scenario makes it hard to do so, due to its abnormal nature.
