There’s a blizzard outside, Peter’s flight is delayed until further notice, he’s trapped in a hotel in Canada, and there’s only one room left. Peter’s willing to fight the whole lobby for the chance at a warm bed but ends up forced to make a deal with the scariest looking person in the group. As if sharing a room for a night with a stranger calling himself Deadpool isn’t bad enough, things fall into utter disarray when everyone is snowed in for a week with only a carry on bag to their names — or less. As the days pass, chaos escalates, the outlandish becomes the norm, and strange friendships are formed. All the while, Peter finds himself accidentally falling for a guy who isn’t at all what first impressions might imply.

Grantaire hadn’t been to a Denny’s in a long time. It was a depressing place and Gavroche preferred Waffle House where the waitress was sweet on him. He got free refills of his hot cocoa at Waffle House from an elderly lady who called him ‘sugar’ and ‘baby.’ He liked attention from strangers more than he liked crayons.
That was a concern Grantaire would save for a later date.
This is by far the worst first date Grantaire has ever been on.
